Three big special sales of private collections together with our two Classic sales, have led to record sales in the department for Oriental decorative arts during 2011. Helene Schjerfbeck’s “Smiling girl” sold at Bukowski’s Classic sale in Helsinki (for SEK 3,4 Million), became this year’s and the season’s last work sold for more than SEK 1 Million, the 71st.
With our 71 works sold for more than SEK 1 Million during this year, we are without doubt the largest auction house in Scandinavia within all segments; art, works of art, old masters as well as contemporary and photography.
