New buyer commissions

Starting February 8th, buyers commissions have been updated for 2011

All purchases at Bukowskis are charged with a buying commission and VAT. Lots are sold subject to a buyers premium of 18% on the hammer price up to SEK 3 million. If the hammer price is above SEK 3 million, the buyer’ s premium is 12% on the exceeding part. VAT will be added to the buyer’s premium. Droit de suite is a right granted to artists or their heirs, in some jurisdictions, to receive a fee on the resale of their works of art. By law, the buyer pays an artist fee for certain works of art. This fee is 5% of the hammer price, or less. For more information about this law see: www.bus.se

Buyers in Finland are charged with a buying commission of 18% + VAT 23% on the commission. Droite de Suite may be added as in Sweden, see above for more information.
