Saturday 28 January, an inauguration party will be take place with lectures, valuation and an artistic performance by the Royal Ballet on the program.

About the aquisition
Bukowskis' online segment has rocketed since 2010, and the company has now acquired Norrköpings Auktionsverk to cover the regions of Östergötland, Södermanland and Småland. This acquisition will enhance Bukowskis' position both regionally and online, and will provide a geographically strategic hub.
The Norrköping office is expected to further improve Bukowskis’ fastest-growing segment, the online auctions.

In addition to the name change to Bukowskis Norrköping, the acquisition of Norrköpings Auktionsverk will lead to a number of changes.

Bukowskis Auktioner bought Auktionskompaniet (founded in 1980) in 2009, after formerly being a partner. In 2010, the company changed its name to Bukowskis Market. The online auctions started in 2008. Bukowskis Market has branches/showrooms/offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Helsinki - and in Norrköping starting from next year.

• Reported a turnover of SEK 67 million in 2009 and SEK 175 million in 2011.

Facts about the acquisition
- Norrköpings Auktionsverk has a history that goes back several hundred years, but was taken over by Anders Olsén in the 1990s. During his time, it has grown into one of Sweden’s largest auction houses outside the big-city regions.
Anders Olsén will continue as MD of the company, which will now be called Bukowskis Norrköping. He will also be the senior curator for east Sweden, with special responsibility for Östergötland, Södermanland and Småland. Moreover, he will be head of Bukowskis Market Norrköping.
Operations will continue as before, accepting consignments and making evaluations, with the difference that lots will be sold online via www.bukowskismarket.com.
Objects of particular quality with a high estimated price will be passed on to one of Bukowskis’ hammer auctions which take place in Stockholm some six times per year.
The capacity will be extended to cater for the increase in incoming lots. Our floor surface will be doubled. Staff numbers will remain the same for the time being but may be increased later on.
