Chinese boom leads to record prices

Three big special sales of private collections together with our two Classic sales, have led to record sales in the department for Oriental decorative arts during 2011. The turnover last year was SEK 35,5 Million - an extraordinary result which further cements Bukowskis’ position as the market leading auction house in Scandinavia. The Chinese collectors want to bring back their cultural heritage to their country and they engage in fierce bidding against Western connoisseurs and buyers. At Bukowskis we have the required expertise, both concerning ancient and valuable objects and the current market trends.
