Harry Schein’s furniture proved hot

Despite the worn look of the furniture once owned by the charmer and founder of the Swedish Film Institute Harry Schein, the bidding was intense. The total estimate of the six lots, among them Danish and in their times very radical designfurniture, was SEK 88 000. The total price after bidding: SEK 241 400.

- Those are really wonderfully cool furniture, but I am quite sure that the owner probably has had an impact. Just imagine who might have used them, conversating, says Eva Seeman, specialist in design from the 20th century.

A pparticularly notable fact is that not a single lot was unsold in the Danish design department and the total price was exceeded with 60 percent.
