Everybody wants Andy

A real painting by the most famous artist of the 20th century, Andy Warhol, will cost you at least SEK 10 million. But nowadays even the prints by the artist have boomed. Venus, Ingrid Bergman, Mick Jagger and Mao by far topped today’s sale of the prints, which had a total result 13 percent above estimates.

- Andy Warhol is great, but personally I’m particularly happy about the fact that collectors have discovered Ed Ruscha’s prints, he is one of the greatest in our time, says Anders Welander, specialist of prints.
