More information

“After Andy Warhol was shot he got out of the hospital and went back to his studio to find that one of his prints had also been pierced by the bullet. That would be the Warhol artwork I would most like to own. The bullet went first through his body and then through his art. It’s such a dramatic event in his life – real life brutally piercing art. I could hardly think of a more cataclysmic event and it had a huge impact on my art. This is where these works stemmed from. There’s also this idea of what happens to designer perfection after a violent event – it leaves marks.”
