Jonatan Jahn joins Bukowskis

Bukowski’s has enjoyed unprecedented results within the design and modern works of art category in recent years, with the highest number of record prices and new discoveries in Swedish design history. This great demand – coupled with growing global interest – has led to Bukowskis further enhancing its specialist expertise within the field.

“We are delighted to welcome Jonatan Jahn to Bukowskis,” says Björn Extergren, Head of Consignment & Sales. “His in-depth knowledge and extensive experience will be incredibly valuable for Bukowskis’ continued growth within design.”

Jonatan joins Bukowskis from his role as Senior Specialist and Head of Modern Design, Furniture, Carpets, Glass and Ceramics at Stockholms Auktionsverk. He also boasts considerable international experience from MoMA in New York and Stockholm’s Nationalmuseum.

Jonatan will play an important part in Bukowskis’ ambition of offering the market’s top specialists and experts, and in maintaining its market leading position in 2018 and beyond. He will be working at the Design and 20th Century Works of Art Department alongside category manager Eva Seeman, specialist Camilla Behrer and specialist Anette Granlund.

Bukowskis Finland has recruited two more specialists from Hagelstam & Co in Helsinki, Johanna Lindfors and Thomas Luoma, both of whom have a wealth of knowledge within design and modern art, as well as excellent experience of the auction industry as a whole. They will reinforce Bukowskis’ position as the Nordic region’s leading auction house, highlighting the growing interest in high quality art and design.

Jonatan will assume his new position in Stockholm on 1 January 2018.
Johanna and Thomas will assume their new positions in Helsinki on 1 October 2017.
