After what was a sensational spring Bukowskis is once again honored to sell another five masterpieces from the well known J.E. Safra Collection, the international collector who owns one of the most extensive collections of Nordic masterpieces from the national romanticism era.
The five works to be sold at Bukowskis exceptional Important Winter Sale on the evening of the 5th and 6th of December are Eugène Jansson’s oil painting “Afton” from 1894 with a reserve price of SEK 2-2.5 million, Anders Zorn’s oil painting “Loppan” from 1918 with a reserve price of SEK 4-6 million, Bruno Liljefors’ “Steglitsor”, an oil painting on panel from 1888 with a reserve price of SEK 1.5-1.8 million, Carl Wilhelmson’s oil painting “Fiskarflicka” painted in 1895 with a reserve price of SEK 1.5-2 million, and the work “Sträckande gäss, Nevlunghavn” painted by Norwegian artist Harald Sohlberg in 1924. The painting has a reserve price of SEK 1-1.5 million.
The viewing takes place on 30 November-4 December at Berzelii Park 1 in Stockholm.
The collection will open the evening auction on the 5th of December at Arsenalsgatan 2 in Stockholm.
