Bent Knudsen was an important figure in Danish modernist jewellery, known for precise craftsmanship and a clear, restrained design language. Trained as a silversmith at C. M. Cohr in Fredericia, he later worked at the influential Hans Hansen studio from 1946, a centre for Scandinavian silver design in the mid-twentieth century. In 1956 he founded a workshop with his wife Anni Knudsen, producing jewellery defined by sculptural simplicity and refined silverwork.
