CARPET. Nearly an oval shape. Tapetstry- and pile variation. 288 x 220 cm. The 1920s to 30s.

A label sewn at the back. Designed by the well-known painter Gustaf Fjaestad, woven by his sisters Amelie and Anna in 1927.

Slightly dirty. The flat woven border has some wear and repairs.

Provenance

The rug was bought by Frida Casthel-Larsson and has been in the family since then except it was sold at Bukowskis in 1970 but bought by a member of the family.

Exhibitions

Exhibited in Paris some time between 1927-30.
