A Huanghuali brushpot, Qing dynasty presumably 19th century.

Cylindrical form. Golden brown colour finely figured with darker "ghost faces" knots (gui mian). The interior centred with a plug corresponding ta a recessed roundel on the underside. Height 16,5 cm.

Crack due to dryness.
