A masonic cider jug, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1736-95).

The cylindrical body with a strap handle, decorated with a Swedish East India Man, monogram, masonic insturments and a motto. Height 15 cm.

Crack by lower part of handle. Wear.

Provenance

There are several know examples of Masonic export porcelain made for captains and investors of the Swedish East India Company. See for example puch bowls depicted in an article of Frimuraren, nr 1, 2015, sid 54.
