Important Winter Sale 645

Bukowskis presents the Important Winter Sale - a comprehensive auction featuring classic art, works of art, Asian works of art and jewellery.

This year's final live auction for Fine Art offers a variety beyond the ordinary. See classic Swedish art from our most beloved artists, such as Carl Larsson, Anders Zorn and Carl Fredrik Hill, masterpieces by international stars, including Maximilien Luce and a small but adorable painting by Helene Schjerfbeck. Added to this are significant works by Öyvind Fahlström and Andy Warhol, as well as an extensive section of older paintings and internationally sought-after sculptures by both Alexander Calder and Carl Milles.

Bukowskis furniture and works of art department includes high-quality objects of royal provenance and fascinating history. Cabinetmaker Haupt is also represented with his exquisite craftsmanship, this time in the form of a small tray table and a decorative travel secretary. The magnificent chandelier, the ”Österbykronan”, is another of the department's most interesting exhibits, as is the richly decorated tureen by silversmith Daniel Lundgren 1771-1783).

The Asian department includes sought after objects from several private collections, such as the collections of Ivar Björnberg, Carl Kempe, Christer Löfgren and Hultmark, to name a few. Sought-after Buddha statues, imperial porcelain, jade objects and Asian art, represent the market's most desired items.

A rich carpet section offers magnificent rugs in various designs and materials, unique with a span from the early 17th century to the present day. Modern rugs from Märta Måås-Fjetterström sit alongside antique rugs that attract the most dedicated collectors internationally, such as the West Anatolian "Lotto" rug from the early 17th century.

The jewellery department can once again present an extensive collection of internationally sought-after jewellery, most of it signed by French jewellery houses such as Boucheron, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. A stunning Boucheron tiara (1909), characterised by flying platinum and diamond dragonflies that move forward through the tiara with apparent ease - a completely new and radical design language for its time, light years away from the heavy tiaras of previous eras.
