Literature

Johanna Jansson (born 1977-) has had a long career as a creator in various artistic genres and materials. Jansson explored glass as a means of expression for a number of years, particularly during her master's degree at RCA in London. Her ambition was to reclaim the unique properties of glass, in reaction to mass-produced utility glass. The auction's "Silverbjörk" was part of a larger context where various unique glass objects were created and exhibited in several galleries and fairs. In 2009, Jansson was selected to exhibit at BIGG in Chicago, one of the world's leading glass fairs, and subsequently decided to stop using glass as a medium of expression. Since then, Jansson has primarily continued in graphic design.
