More information

When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the lunar surface in 1969, the Speedmaster 105.012 model became the first watch ever worn on the moon.

In terms of design, this watch marked the introduction of an asymmetrical case, a choice aimed at providing enhanced protection for the crown and pushers. Notably, it also featured the inclusion of the word "Professional" on the dial for the first time.

Additionally, the 105.012-65 stands out as the final model with a double-beveled caseback.
