Designer

Mette Augustinus Poulsen is a Danish ceramist. She was educated at the Jutland Art Academy in Århus between 1966-70. Mette Augustinus Poulsen opened her own workshop in 1970 in Risskov, Jutland. She often prefers to work with the cylinder as a shape and with a sandy red clay that comes from Esbjerg. Her earthenwares are high-fired, which creates her exquisite, signature glazes. Mette Augustinus Poulsen is represented in collections both in Denmark and internationally, all over the world.
