An Arita bowl and five side dishes, Japan, Meiji (1868-1912).

Decorated in underglaze blue, iron red, green, and gold. The plates feature motifs of flowers and butterflies. Length 17.5 cm. The bowl with a central motif of chrysanthemum and coins, the borders adorned with birds and trees in a garden. The plate marked "Ken" in underglaze blue. 23.5 x 23.5 cm.

Glaze spots. Partly some wear and colour losses. Occasional chip.
