NORWEGIAN DESIGN

NORWEGIAN DESIGN
Today, Scandinavian design is a global concept. The Golden Danish Design Age, Swedish Grace and Swedish Modern have earned Denmark and Sweden reputations for producing excellent design. Spearheaded by the likes of Hans J Wegner and Bruno Mathsson, Scandinavian craftsmanship has gained a prominent position in auction houses and interiors magazines the world over. Alvar Aalto has also put Finnish design firmly on the world designmap.

Now that Norwegian design has been rediscovered, Bukowskis is delighted to present a themed auction with works by both famous and less well-known designers. The auction features more than 80 objects, including a cupboard by Rastad & Relling, a couple of sketches from the same design duo’s drawing office, a number of pieces by Arne Lindaas and, of course, a Bambi armchair in excellent condition.
