”Min skam för dessa bilder är mitt sätt att nå en försoning” skriver Aida Chehrehgosha i texten till sin utställning – ”Till mamma och pappa och mina två bröder” – med bilder av sina föräldrar som hon visade på Konstfacks Vita havet 16–26 april 2009. Aida har konstruerat scener som hon fotograferat, mamma och pappa i Buttericksmasker, mamma och pappa döda, nerskjutna som smutsiga hundar på opersonliga platser som på maffiavis. Hon har vuxit upp i ett krigsdrabbat land men även inom familjen rådde krigstillstånd. Nu tittar hon på situationen med vuxna ögon och minns det hat hon kände mot föräldrarna för vad de gjort henne som barn. Starka känslor har en tendens att skaffa sig motpoler, lika starkt som hon hatar kommer hon att älska föräldrarna upptäcker hon när hon i sina bilder verkligen utför föräldramordet eller gör sig löjlig över dem genom att sätta på dem Buttericksmasker.
