The cover inset with a shibuchi panel decorated in low relief with a pine tree by a beach. The sides simulating basket weaving, wooden base, the interior lacquered and the interior of the cover with a signature. Measurement 10.5x14x5.5 cm.

Provenance

From a Swedish private collection, the family lived in Japan, 1957-1971, thence by descent. This piece was purchased in Kyoto 1957.
