P Malherbe A Liége, (Belgium), numbered 834 and 9864 on the stocks brass lid, stock seizure with the number 834 and a crowned imperial Russian double eagle, brass plaque engraved with IC [IS] I and the double eagel, trigger guard with B under a crown and insignificant marks on barrel and seizure. Length c 117 cm.

Wear due to age and use. The hammer doesent stands in the second position.

Imperial Russian 1st Model Brunswick Percussion Rifle, by P.J. Malherbe, Liege Belgium. The rifle was adopted in Russian service as the Model 1843 Luttich Carbine.
