Jenny Nyström is one of the most versatile Swedish artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She was highly accomplished and trained in various painting and drawing techniques, mastering all types with finesse. She is most celebrated and renowned for her diverse illustrations across various publications, fairy tales, weekly magazines, as well as Christmas and Easter cards. Her body of work was extensive, and many of her sketches and ink drawings have been preserved for posterity. In this themed auction, Bukowskis presents several ink and pen drawings, all of which are representative and excellent examples of her exquisite illustration art.
