Henni Alftan (b. 1979) is a visual artist born in Helsinki and based in Paris, who has risen to international breakthrough. Alftan’s deliberate and aesthetically minimal works, depicting everyday details and precisely framed views, have in recent years attracted considerable interest within the international art world.
Alftan, who has recently held solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, London, and Berlin, has studied and graduated from the art school École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Alftan’s works have also been exhibited in numerous internationally respected museums and galleries, such as the Centre Pompidou-Metz in Paris (2025), Amos Rex (2024), the Espoo Museum of Modern Art EMMA (2023), and LACMA – Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2022).
Alftan’s works are included, among others, in the public collections of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, as well as Amos Rex and the Espoo Museum of Modern Art EMMA, and in several private collections.
