This vase was executed in 1937, the first year when this technique was introduced at Orrefors.
The Ariel technique was developped by Edvin Öhrström and Vicke Lindstrand in collaboration with the master Gustav Bergkvist. The first ariel pieces were shown at the 1937 Paris Expo.
