A rare large, finely painted tureen with cover and stand, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1736-95).

Modeled after a European baroque silver tureen, decorated in a Chinese pattern. Length of tureen 38,3 cm, height of tureen with cover 41 cm, length of stand 43,5 cm.

Repair to leg. Chip to stand.
