A CARPET. An old Esfahan Nazeri nedjad. 240,5 x 157,5 cm (as well as one end with one cm flat weave,

one end with one and a half cm). An ivory ground with a polychrome medallion, palmette and flower festoons. A dark blue framework with a flower and pomegranate pattern. A red main border with a palmette, leaf and flower vine as well as cartouches with arabesques. One end has a signature: Iran- Isfahan -Nazeri nedjad. Silk warp. Between ca 1.560.000 and 1.680.000 knots per square meter.

The sides have insignificant fold wear, one end has two insignificant mothdamages.
