A red melange ground with rows of boteh patterns. A wide dark blue brown melange main border with a flower pattern and flower cartouches.
Partly worn, a few areas are hard worn, slightly dirty, minor stains, insignificant damages. The ends have minor damages.
Alkuperä - Provenienssi
The Bank building Merkurius, Stora Torget in Borås. The building was designed by Ivar Tengbom in 1915. The same architect designed among others Stockholms konserthus (where the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony takes place every year) and the well known Tändstickspalatset in Stockholm. This carpet was probably part of the original furnishings in the banks boardroom.
