Alkuperä - Provenienssi

Enligt familjetradition inköpt på Sophie Hagmans auktion av grosshandlare Sven Ulrik Palm (1787-1861), som hade möbeln på sommarstället Täckaudden på Djurgården. Därefter i arv inom släkten till nuvarande ägare.

Sophie Hagman, född Anna Sophia Hagman 1758 i Eskilstuna, död 6 maj 1826 i Stockholm, var en svensk balettdansös. Hon var officiell mätress till prins Fredrik Adolf av Sverige, Gustav III:s bror, mellan 1778 och 1793.
