Immanuel Nobel jr was inventor and industrialist. In 1838 he moved to S:t Petersburg where he founded macanical industries which came to have over 1000 employees. In 1853 he was awarded the emperor´s gold medal (the present lot) and was presented at the imperial court. He was the father of Alfred, Ludvig and Robert Nobel
