I denna målning möter vi olika vilda fåglar i ett lummigt parklandskap med en antikiserande byggnad skymtande i bakgrunden. Målningen är utförd i Melchior d'Hondecoeters manér. Han var en holländsk djurmålare som nästan uteslutande målade fåglar i parklandskap, både inhemska och exotiska fåglar, ofta i kraftig rörelse inbegripna i slagsmål, ibland med moraliska undertoner.
