The timeless chair CH24, also called Y Chair and The Wishbone Chair, is designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949 for Carl Hansen & Søn. The armchair is a modern classic that never goes out of time – since production start in 1950 the chairs has been produced without interruption. With its characteristic y shaped back the chair provides high comfort, good ability to move around, along with being a stylish and modern chair around the dining table. Despite its modest appearance, it is a long process to make an Y Chair; only the corded seat is made of 120 meters of waxed paper twine which has carefully been stringed.
This example of the CH24 comes with a frame in sold oak, an arm frame in teak and with a seat in natural cord. The chair has alos an engraved g and with a pencil marked EN.
