MATTO, a semi-antique Esfahan, ca 219 x 140,5-147,5 cm.
One of a pair. A blue melange ground with a red medallion and a framework with polychrome flower and palmette festoons, cloud bands as well as arabesques. A wide red main border with large palmette and flower vines. Warp threads of silk.
The sides are slightly oblique. Minor abrashes. Some partly hard wear, slightly dirty, stains. The sides have fold wear and minor damages, one end is reduced, one end has a couple of rows of knots missing.
