A CARRIAGE CUSHION, tapestry weave, "the Annunciation", ca 47,5-49,5 x 96,5-97,5 cm, Scania (Sweden)
first half of the 19th century. Probably Harjagers or Torna district. A dark brown ground with a polychrome stylized pattern of two wreaths with the Annunciation scene crowned by angels and surrounded by a variety of flowers.
Some wear, slightly dirty, minor stains and repairs. Repaired ends.
