MATTO, an antique/semi-antique Mahal, ca 416,5-421,5 x 314,5-318,5 cm.
A red melange ground with a Sarouk-like pattern of an ivory medallion and corner ornaments as well as polychrome stylized flower vines, small animals and birds. A wide dark blue main border with a large palmette and flower vine. Several narrow guard stripes.
Some partly hard wear, stains, some painted areas, repairs, minor damages. One end is slightly reduced, one end is a little reduced and has a later flat woven edge and fringes.
