Stolen ingår i serie om 12 gulmålade stolar vilka bildskars av Johan Liung och levererades 1747 till kung Fredrik I:s matsal, Rundeln, i Kungshuset på Riddarholmen.
Stolarna kom efter inflyttningen 1754 till Stockholms slott att användas i prinsessan Sofia Albertinas rum samt i överstemarskalkens rum
