Matto, a semi-antique silk Kashan figural, ca 309-310 x 204,5-207 cm.
A yellow ground with a polychrome decor of blooming trees, cloud bands, deer, predators, monkeys, an oxe, hares, a butterfly, a peacock, a rooster family and other birds. A wide burgundy main border with flower vines as well as alternating blue and yellow cartouches with animals, birds and flowers. A label at the back: Nr. 976 "Kashen" Köpt av Hj. H.son Kimberg i Bagdad Dec: 1937.
Abrashes. Some partly a little harder wear, dirty, stains, one insignificant fragile area ("cherook"). The sides and ends have minor fold wear, the ends and the fringes with damages, many fringes are missing.
