A doucai vase, late Qing dynasty with a Jiajing mark.
Dropp shaped with a bulbshaped mouth, decorated in doucai colours with five clawed dragons alternating with phoenix birds. The six characters are placed by the rim. Height 22 cm.
Firing flaws, wear.

The couple has a keen interest in art and antiques and started to collect in the 1960’s, attending auctions, antique shops, and antique fairs.
