The cylindrical gilt-brass case on three volute-shaped feet, with a ring for wall-hanging. The painted dial with roman numerals, signed "Nohrman Norrköping". The bottom with a bell enclosing the movement with engraved signature and numbering "Eric Nohrman Norrköping No. 406". With an original leather case with the crowned monogram of Gustav III. Height 9, diameter 11 cm. The case's height 12, diameter 12 cm. Winding key included.

Muut tiedot

A clock much alike the one presented at auction is held in the collections of Musée international d'horlogerie at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This clock is numbered 408 to the movment, and the silver case is dated 1773. Hence Nohrman only crafted one movement between the one in the Musée's collection and the one presented here. Hence one can conclude that the clock presented at auction was almost certainly made in the same year.
