A hardwood tall table/pidestal, late Qing dynasty.
Of square shape, the top proportionally constructed with a waisted top with rounded edges, all supported on four legs ending in hoof feet, the sides decorated with an apron reticulated in the shape of a central archaistic bi-disc and archaistic motifs. Height 100.5 cm. Measurement top 32x32 cm.

Dan Axel Broström was the third-generation ship-owner in the prestigious Broström Company group. When he took over the firm in 1949 they had 18 000 employees.
The Canadian model and geologist Heidi was Dan-Axel Broströms third wife, the couple lived at the fashionable Särö, a few miles south of Gothenburg.
