A Swedish carved ebony, boxwood and bone plane, dated 1748.

Ebony, boxwood, and bone. Carved decoration of flowers and leaves against a stippled background. The upper side dated 1748. Sculpted handle in the shape of a bird's head. With a profiled wedge and plane iron. Length 13.5, width 3.7, height 6.5 cm.

Another set of four planes marked with Adolf Fredriks monogram are in a Swedish private collection.
