Muut tiedot

The Breitling Emergency earned its reputation as a survival instrument by integrating a built-in personal locator beacon operating on the 121.5 MHz aircraft distress frequency, a feature originally intended for pilots but that quickly captured the attention of adventurers and collectors alike. Its robust transmitter delivers performance on par with professional aircraft beacons, offering an average range of 90 nautical miles on flat terrain or at sea for a plane flying at 20,000 feet. Under optimal conditions, this range can extend to over 200 nautical miles (around 360 kilometers), reinforcing the watch’s unique position as both a timekeeper and a potential lifesaver.
