An engraved brass octagonal equinoctial compass sundial by Ludwig Theodor Müller (Augsburg, c. 1710-70).
Engraved brass. Of octagonal form with engraved decor of foliate scrolls, engraved roman hour ring, gnomon and latitude arc, silvered windrose with blued steel arrow, base with latitude indications for European cities and signature "LTM". Diameter approx. 71 mm.
