A very rare watch at auction, with only one other example known to us that was sold 22 years ago, featuring a different case number. This particular piece comes from the family of the original owner, which is a notable advantage in the auction world, as provenance adds significant value.

An elegant gold and diamond wristwatch, manufactured by Jaeger-LeCoultre around 1950. The watch features a rectangular case with the dial concealed beneath a sliding, domed cover in bombé wirework design, its ends set with diamonds. The case measures 23 mm in width, and the winding crown is located on the back, secured with two screws – a discreet and technically advanced solution for its time.

The dial has a matte gold finish with applied baton and dagger indexes. The watch is fitted with an integrated tubogas bracelet in 18K gold, typical of 1950s jewelry watches.
