The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak ref. 56175ST.OO.0789ST.07 (registered on 18 April 1991) represents a refined midsize interpretation of the legendary Royal Oak design. Housed in a 33 mm stainless-steel case with integrated bracelet, it is powered by the ultra-thin Calibre 2612 quartz movement.
The Royal Oak, first unveiled in 1972 and designed by Gérald Genta, was a revolutionary creation: a luxury sports watch in stainless steel with bold octagonal bezel and exposed screws, which helped redefine the entire category of high-end watchmaking. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Royal Oak line had expanded into a full collection with varying sizes and movements, of which the 56175ST was among the most elegant quartz executions.
This particular example is accompanied by an official extract from the Audemars Piguet archives, confirming its provenance and original registration.
