Muut tiedot

The Calatrava Ref. 6006G by Patek Philippe was introduced at Baselworld 2017, offering a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s classic design language. Powered by the ultra-thin self-winding caliber 240 PS C, the model commemorates the 40th anniversary of this iconic movement. One of its most distinctive features is the asymmetrically placed subsidiary seconds dial between 4 and 5 o’clock—a design element first seen in the Ref. 5000 in 1991, which has since become a hallmark of the series.

Ref. 6006G replaces the earlier models in the 6000 series, originally launched in 2005. The case has been slightly enlarged to 39 mm, giving it a more prominent wrist presence while enhancing the elegance of its geometric design. The dial retains its two-tone graphic layout, with Arabic numerals and a clearly legible analog date display along the outer edge.

The design is rich in subtle details: the center of the dial features a black sunburst finish, the minute ring is silver-toned with guilloché and printed markers, while the outer edge combines different textures in black—a sunburst finish for the date ring and guilloché for the hour ring. The silver subsidiary seconds dial adds visual contrast and reinforces the watch’s asymmetrical balance.

The hands have also been updated—now broader, white-lacquered, and skeletonized in baton style, maintaining a lightweight appearance. The date hand is tipped with a red-lacquered arrow, replacing the previous crescent moon design for improved readability.

Encased in 18K white gold, the watch features a wide, mirror-polished bezel, and a sapphire-crystal case back that reveals the beautifully finished movement. The caliber 240 PS C showcases Geneva stripes, polished bevels, gold-filled engravings, and a recessed 22K gold micro-rotor engraved with the Calatrava cross. A shiny black alligator strap with large square scales completes the refined look, secured with a fold-over clasp in white gold.
