An important table, AB Gustaf Flinta, Hedemora, for the Stockholm Exhibition 1930.

Veneered in elm and maple root, matte nickel plated legs, curved end with shelves. Length 104 cm, width 60 cm, height 61 cm.

Minor wear and veneer repairs.

Muut tiedot

Like his brother Carl Bergsten, Harald Bergsten trained as an architect. Bergsten participated in Hemutställningen (Home Exhibition) in 1917 and shortly thereafter was involved in founding the Association Verkstaden (1918-1924), together with, among others, Gunnar Asplund, Edward Hald, Simon Gate, Wilhelm Kåge, and Carl Malmsten. Bergsten was also a member of the Gothenburg Crafts and Industry Association and participated as such in the Jubilee Exhibition in Gothenburg in 1923. For the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, he designed a tubular steel furniture piece manufactured by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik in Stockholm, as well as an exclusive living room furniture set (of which the present table was a part) in elm and maple, executed by AB Gustaf Flinta in Hedemora.
