Of baluster from with a waisted lower body, rounded shoulder, and trumpet neck, the upper and lower sections each decorated with two panels painted in a bright cobalt blue with an elderly scholar depicted in a palace enviroment with an attendant receiving a young man and handing over a robe and a scholars hat. Another scene is repeated on the tall flaring neck. Height 45 cm.
