A Chinese Export jar with cover, Qing dynasty, 1790's.
After the Swedish Marieberg model in faience with handles in the shape of pistols. Decorated in grisaille and gold with a central scene in the roundel with figures and a cityscape. Height 43 cm.
Restored cover.
Alkuperä - Provenienssi
According to family tradition it belonged the Mayor of Vimmerby, in Småland, Sweden, Mr Otto Gustaf Wahlberg and his son Otto Ossian Wahlberg, thence by descent within the family.
