From the collection of Gerald Elderling (born 1901-1991) and his wife Karin, Elderling had a long career working in Asia, Rangoon, Burma, where he arrived in the early 1930's. They ended up in a Japanese POW camp during the war, and returned after the WWII to Gothenburg were he became the Dutch Counsul, and then later Counsul General. Thence by descent.
